A biking doctor from Cotabato nominee for outstanding health officer

A municipal doctor that hailed from the province of North Cotabato was one of the top five finalists for 2020 Outstanding Municipal Health Officer of the Philippines (Modelong Doktor Award), bestowed by the Association of the Municipal Health Officers of the Philippines.

Dr. Glecerio “Jun” Sotea, was instrumental in the establishment of the diabetes club and promote a healthy lifestyle through exercises and biking among sports-minded people and even the young people to prevent obesity and other forms of illness in the town of Mlang.

Though busy in his daily routine being the municipal health officer attending patients, the doctor has still time in going to the villages using his bicycle to look at the health conditions of the villagers.

He was even tagged as “the biking doctor” of people closed to him and even the local officials of the town.

MLANG, COTABATO——At least 49 couples ended their live-in status and tied the knot at a mass wedding sponsored by the local government

Mayor Russel M. Abonado administered the civil rites at the town gym witnessed by the couples’ parents, relatives, and friends.

 

Abogado said the civil wedding would make legal the status as husbands and wives of the couples who had been living with each other for at least 10 years.

The mayor said being married would make it easy for the couples and their families to avail themselves of government programs and services like the coverage by the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. and cash aid from the government through 4Ps.

The shrine every year welcome thousands of pilgrims that wanted to meditate and pray at the shrine, where the Holy

Cross erected by the Oblate of Mary Immaculate (OMI) fathers was located.

The Oblate fathers then turn over the hill and became a shrine to the diocese of Kidapawan.

 

Yearly an influx of faithful Catholic believers trooped at the shrine and commemorate the passion, death, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Sa loob ng 13 taon, nagagamit ng libre ng mga mamamayan sa bayan ng Mlang ang ambulance ng Local Government Unit, bilang ayuda sa mga residente ka kakailanganing dalhin sa Davao City para magpagamot.

 

Taong 2007, ipinag-utos nang noon ay mayor na si Joselito Pinol ang pagpapagamit ng dalawang mga ambulansiya ng bayan sa lahat ng mga mamamayan na nangangailangan ng serbisyong medikal lalo na iyong mga may malubhang karamdaman.

 

Sa nakalipas na mahabang panahon, at sa kasalukuyang panunungkulan ni Mayor Russel Abonado, ipinagpatuloy niya ang ganitong Gawain para sa mga mahihirap at kapus na mga kababayan sa bayan ng Mlang. (more…)

Mayor Russel M. Abonado, appeals to fellow government employees to always wear a smile in serving the clients, transacting business at the town hall. The mayor echoed his requests during the monthly convocation program attended by the municipal government employees held at the municipal gymnasium on January 27, 2020. “Let us always be polite and smile while we are offering our services to our constituents,” Mayor Abonado said.

 

He also instructed each employee and respective department managers to wear their identification card so that they will be recognized by the clients at all times.

 

He said the wearing office ID is a big help once there are complaints from the clients that have not satisfied with the services of each office at the LGU. (more…)

The first-ever “Kasalan sa Barangay” was held in connection with the 34th Foundation Anniversary of Palma Perez, on January 24, 2020. The couples were living together for more than 5 years and because of meager income, they set aside their union through marriage.

Municipal councilors Jomar Tamba and Cleofas Tupas stand as Ninong and Ninang of the newlywed couples. Municipal Local Government Operation Officer Jasmin Sultan Mosaid, was also present during the wedding, along with the parents of both the grooms and brides. Barangay officials were also present in the event.

Koleksyon ng buwis sa bayan ng Mlang sa huling kwarter ng 2019 lumampas sa target

NALAMPASAN ng Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) sa bayan ng Mlang ang kanilang quota sa nakalipas na huling kwarter ng taong 2019.

 

Binigyan ng quota na nasa P11 milyon ang BIR, pero lumampas ang koleksiyon sa huling kwarter ng taon ng mahigit sa tatlongdaang libong piso.

 

Sa kabuoan, dapat sana ay makakolekta lang ng P11, 202, 000 pero sa kabuoan may nakolektang P11, 546, 809.03, may sobra itong P344, 809.03 o katumbas ng 3.08% na pagtaas ng tax collections.

Mlang Vice Mayor Joselito Pinol, asks the members of the 20th Sangguniang Bayan of the town of Mlang to extend financial support for Tennielle Bedua Madis who will compete for International Tennis Federation on March 22-27 in Australia.

 

Rommel Madis and Tennielle herself were present during the 23rd Regular Session of the Sannguniang Bayan on Wednesday, January 22 held at the Vice Mayor Bernie Abasquez hall.

 

Mr. Madis, narrated that at the young age of 5, her daughter showed interest in playing tennis.

 

“In fact she was the one who wakes me up early in the morning to accompany her at the tennis court,” Sir Madis disclosed.

 

At early age, the young Tennielle was exposed in various tennis competitions in zone, district, provincial and Palarong Pambansa. (more…)

PINALAWIG pa ng sampung araw ang Business One Stop Shop sa bayan ng Mlang dahil sa dami parin ng mga kliyente na nagre-renew ng kanilang mga business permits at kumukuha ng prankisa.

 

Sa bisa ng Executive Order No. 03, na pinirmahan ni Mayor Russel Abonado, pinalawig hanggang sa January 31 ang huling araw ng pag preseso ng mga transaksiyon hinggil sa renewal at pagkuha ng bagong business permits, maging ng prankisa ng mga tricycle.

 

Pagtupad ito sa itinadhana ng batas at regulasyon upang masilbihan ng mahusay at maayos ang mga negosyante na kumuha ng business licenses, upang maging legal ang kanilang negosyo.

 

Pero dahil hindi sapat ang dalawampung araw, kailangan dagdagan ito ng sampu pang mga araw upang walang negosyante na mapag iwanan at lahat ay maserbisyuhan nang naaayon sa batas.
