The Municipal Administrator

Atty. Russel M. Abonado was born on September 24, 1975 to Mr. Jose Abonado and Mrs. Buen Magno-Abonado. Raised with the values of integrity and compassion, he carried these principles throughout his journey as a lawyer and public servant.

He earned his AB Social Science degree from Southern Baptist College and pursued his Bachelor of Laws at the University of Mindanao. Atty. Abonado has long been known for his dedication to serving others; first as a lawyer with a heart for the people, then as a public official.

With over 17 years as a public officer, he has served the people of M’lang as a Sangguniang Bayan Member, Vice Mayor, and Municipal Mayor. He also held the position of Provincial Legal Officer, reflecting his deep and continued commitment to good governance and ethical leadership.

Beyond public service, he is a devoted family man; a loving husband to his wife and a proud father to his three children.

Today, Atty. Abonado continues his mission of serving M’lang as the Municipal Administrator, driven by the same passion to uplift lives, promote justice, and bring meaningful change to his hometown.
