Born on September 24, 1977, in Davao City, Vice Mayor Giovanni P. Tejada, fondly known as BonBon, is the son of the late Mayor Dr. Bonifacio F. Tejada and former Councilor Alberta P. Tejada. Raised in a family of dedicated public servants, he grew up with a deep understanding that leadership is about people, not power.

He earned his degree in BS Biology from Our Lady of Fatima University and briefly pursued Medicine before returning to M’lang to serve his hometown. A three-term councilor, BonBon consistently earned the trust of his constituents, ranking number one in both the 2016 and 2022 elections.

Quiet but consistent, Vice Mayor Tejada leads with humility and action, not fanfare. He lives by the words, “No need for words, just plain public service,” continuing the legacy of integrity and sincere leadership passed down by his parents
