Mayor Abonado presides joint MPOC, MADAC, MDRRMC and MDC meetings

Mayor Russel M. Abonado, presides the joint Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC), Municipal Anti Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) and Municipal Development Council, held at the municipal rooftop on January 28, 2020.

 

Present during the joint meetings is the 37 Barangay Chairmen, Civil Society Organization, Academe and other concern agencies.

 

Mayor Abonado, lauded the performance of both the PNP and AFP for maintaining the peace and order of the town in the past year, including the celebration of the Kawayanan Festival.

 

Village officials aired their concern on the issue of high cases of renal diseases which they suggested that the Local Chief Executive will create a body to study the potability of the drinking water in Mlang.

 

“We will address your concern regarding our drinking water,” Mayor Abonado assured the village officials.

 

Meanwhile, the Municipal Development Council (MDC) proposed for the realignment of funds intended for the purchase of a lot for the resettlement site for Barangay Nueva Vida and Barangay Lepaga.

 

The mayor also announced that the 144 families of Sitio Epol in Barangay Dunguan were already enrolled in the Philhealth ng Masa which was sponsored and funded by the Local Government Unit of Mlang.

 

More indigents residents in Mlang can also avail the Philhealth ng Masa in 2020, Mayor Abonado added.
